After taking a creative writing class her junior year of high school, Bock knew she wanted to make a career of writing. She is pursuing a multimedia journalism degree from the University of South Carolina. She has produced stories for The Daily Gamecock and feature articles for the South Carolina Honors College and has been published on the Columbia Voice. She hopes to begin her professional career reporting for a local news station.

Frank Booker is a former collegiate basketball player at the University of South Carolina and is accustomed to having the camera on him at all times. From interviews after games to press conferences, he is no rookie to the bright lights. Frank is bilingual in English and Icelandic. He would like to work for ESPN one day.

From a young age, Emily Correll knew she wanted to be on television. She worked on her stage presence and confidence throughout grade school by dancing competitively and participating in school communications. Correll enjoys finding stories throughout her community while getting to know her city better as well. She enjoys writing, researching and reading as well as reporting on local events, entertainment and government.

Aspiration: Multimedia Journalist
Alondra De La Rosa knows she is a storyteller. While completing a bachelor’s in English focused on creative writing, De La Rosa was a staff writer for The Daily Gamecock at the University of South Carolina. She prefers to be behind the scenes and focus on the story of others. Her biggest interests are national, international, and human rights news.

After spending time in several majors, Austin Hinson has found his passion for storytelling in the form of broadcast journalism. His preferred focus is political and investigative reporting. After graduating, he plans to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Following that service, he plans to further his education by attending law school.

Savanna James is signed to two talent agencies for acting, modeling, and dance and has been in several national commercials and movies. After spending that last 20 years in front of the camera, she decided one way to continue that was a career in journalism. Savanna was awarded the South Carolina Broadcasters Association Scholarship for the 2018-2019 year to continue her pursuit of this career.

Aspiration: Entertainer and television personality
As a young man, Sean Kelly knew he wanted to be an entertainer and host his own television show. Kelly has worked as a social media intern with multiple companies, learning how to build a following and the workings of new media. Giving speeches and engrossing others in stories has always given him joy, and he plans to parlay his love of entertainment and knowledge of social media into the wide world of entertainment.

Claire Lewis discovered a passion for journalism through her love of finding new and creative ways to educate. She uses video journalism as a platform to inform in a creative and entertaining way. Lewis hopes to use her passion for storytelling in either television or online media.

Aspiration: Film and edit sports features/documentaries
Austin Porter dreams of working for ESPN or Bleacher Report, filming and editing sports features and/or documentaries much like the ESPN 30 for 30s or Sports Center short features. As a videographer for the athletic department at the University of South Carolina, Austin has produced two features, and one of them has been nominated for an Emmy. He wants to be known as a storyteller at a professional level.

Taylor Treadwell dreams of working for a national sports network, anchoring and sideline reporting. As a production intern for a small media organization in Bethlehem, Treadwell realized that after a few shots in front of the camera she wanted to be on screen. She would enjoy anchoring on ESPN’s Sports Center or E! News or hosting an entertainment talk show.
