Suspended 5th Circuit Court Solicitor Dan Johnson, who faces state and federal charges related to embezzlement and fraud, went before a Richland County Court judge Thursday for a bond hearing. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Johnson and his top aide Nicole Holland, who also faces charges, were placed under a $25 thousand personal recognizance bond. <\/span><\/p>\n A personal recognizance bond means that if they don\u2019t show up to court, they can be charged up to $25 thousand.<\/span><\/p>\n The pair was also required to follow the standard conditions of grand jury bond form, including the surrender of their passports, the restriction to stay within the state, and the inability to transfer money or property without notifying the authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n Johnson faces two state counts, including misappropriation of funds and embezzlement of public funds by solicitor office issued credit cards.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the state\u2019s attorney, the money was used for travel, vacations, medical expenses, and double reimbursements for military training. <\/span><\/p>\n Neither were required to be on house arrest nor deemed flight risks. <\/span><\/p>\n Johnson and Holland were suspended by Gov.
