The Mega Millions jackpot is now the largest lottery jackpot in lottery history with a $1.6 billion dollar jackpot and\u00a0a cash payout option of $904 million. The next drawing is set for Tuesday evening and if the winning numbers are not drawn then the jackpot number will keep growing.<\/p>\n
Everyone has a buying plan when they win the lottery. Lola Robertson, a regular lottery player, said Tuesday she has won several prizes from different lotteries, including one for $1,500.\u00a0Instead of the usual goal of buying dream cars and boats, Robertson said \u00a0she would spend the money in a different way.<\/p>\n
“I want to buy an apartment complex for underaged mothers,” Robertson, a Columbia resident, \u00a0said. “I would pay off some debts and give back to the community.”<\/p>\n
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575, 350. To win the jackpot, a person will have to select six numbers from two number pools, choose five numbers ranging from 1 to 70 and finally choose a number from 1 to 25 for the mega ball. The odds of winning any prize on a ticket is 1 in 24.<\/p>\n
