UofSC civil rights center unveils monument commemorating historical march
The Center for Civil Rights History and Research at the University of South Carolina unveiled a new historical marker and monument in honor of 187 student protesters that were arrested for “disturbing the peace,” in a 1961 protest at the South Carolina State House.
