The South Carolina teen pregnancy rate is continuing to decrease yearly, but this decrease seems to be caused by forms of sexual education other than public school curriculum, such as Internet access, community education by organizations like Planned Parenthood and parental influence.

DHEC had a press conference this afternoon to discuss the state's vaccine rollout. Nick Davidson, a spokesperson for DHEC, said, "Vaccine hunting clearly does occur. Whenever there is not enough of something people are going to look for where they can get it as soon as they can."
